What started as an online bookstore has grown into a community for readers, seekers, and the cosmically curious. Through thoughtfully curated books, modern energy practices, and gatherings that bring people together, we're creating a space where curiosity is celebrated, creativity is encouraged, and everyone is invited to explore what magic means to them.
We're committed to making spiritual exploration accessible, inclusive, and rooted in respect. We celebrate diverse voices, thoughtfully source the products we carry, and honor the traditions that inspire us without gatekeeping or appropriation. Whether you're new to tarot or have shelves full of well-loved grimoires, there's a place for you here.
Our dream is to one day create a permanent home in Los Angeles: a neighborhood bookstore, café, and gathering space where conversations linger over coffee, friendships form between bookshelves, and magic is woven into everyday life.

Jess

lifelong book lover, coffee enthusiast, and witchy woman
After several years working in publishing, often remotely and in solitude, Jess found herself craving something more grounded, communal, and a little more magical.
She’d always seen a natural connection between witches and book lovers: both believe words have power, find meaning in ritual, and love a little character development. As a lifelong member of both camps, Jess wanted a space where those worlds could exist together. Somewhere you could talk about your favorite book, cast a spell, and meet people who understood both.
That’s how Pepper Moon was born.
Jess's personal magic lies in making people feel important, welcome, and genuinely at home, so she designed Pepper Moon to embody those principles, as well. Above all, she wants Pepper Moon to feel like the kind of place where you can show up as your whole, wonderfully weird self and know you’ve found your people.
